Zoom Group Connection

Do you need to talk?

Twenty years have passed since Centrepoint closed its doors. Many people have kept relationships going. Others now have few ongoing relationships with peers from those times, people who could understand intimately the issues that they now grapple with, or the experiences they once had.

For the children of Centrepoint the need to connect is particularly high, to reclaim lost friendships, to tell the stories of what they went through, to make sense of the unusual experiences that they may never have shared with anyone before. This kind of connection is intense, powerful, healing and requires enormous trust and courage.

Part of the ambition of this project is to facilitate this kind of connection, in a way which is safe and empowering for the children of Centrepoint. There is currently a group of ex-children of the community who are creating a safe place for each other to talk about their experiences, and to enable others to be supported to tell their stories.

If you have a desire for this kind of group support and would like to know more about the group please make contact. After making contact you will then be referred to the group facilitator, who will determine if the group is the right fit for you, or if other forms of support are more appropriate.
