The area of restorative justice and the damage that sexual abuse in childhood causes to people throughout their lives have been well studied. Below are links to some studies which have been done to date.

A Different Kind of Family

A 2010 retrospective study commissioned by the NZ Community Growth Trust. 29 participants were interviewed anonymously by researchers about their experiences as children at Centrepoint.
